The IES Basket School basketball league Championship is always expected in Kirov region (and the reason is not that the governor of the region Nikita Yurievich Belykh was born in Perm). The confirmation of that are the full gyms of the Finals of the regional championships. This year Finals were not an exclusion. The amazing VyatGGU sports gym was full. It is worth to be mentioned that this gym is one of the most interesting ones of those we were at, both from the internal planning point of view and from the side of comfort.

The IES Basket School basketball league group did not come to Syktyvkar for the last season’s championship’s Finals due to change of the dates of the competitions because of the flu epidemy. Having gone through the competitions this year we can surely say that we regret we could not come last season. We found here a good gym (Renova culture and sports center), nice people (warm hearted and smiling personnel served patient GPS navigator around the city for the members of the School basketball league delegation) and interesting basketball.

“Yoshkar Ola – it means so much for the IES Basket’s heart!” There were the words we wanted to start with our report about the Finals of our Championship in the republic of Mari El. These were needed to express our respectful attitude to the people and (which is not less important – government bodies) of the republic who were so much comfortable for us both in working and personal aspects. It was also necessary to be used in order to vary our article a bit. It is quite difficult to describe the IES Basket School basketball league events in Mari El, i.e. it is all about delight, admiration and enthusiasm (so boring! (!!!).

Departing to the town of Bolgar of Spassky district of Tatarstan for the Finals of the IES Basket School basketball league Championship in the republic of Tatarstan we had certain concerns. Delegation of the IES Basket School basketball league met the Defender of the Motherland Day in a most appropriate place for that, i.e. in Vologda, in Spektr Sports and concerts complex – one of the home arenas of Vologda Chevakata women’s basketball club. The whole competitive day was accompanied by congratulations and women’s attention which created a specially warm atmosphere of the event.

Our arrival to the Children’s and Youth school of Olympic reserve of Vasileostrovsky district of Saint Petersburg early morning of February 21 created some flap (which we accepted as a self-containment of the representatives of the Russian cultural capital) among the administration and personnel of the school. Not every day they meet in early morning 28 persons saying, “We will organize you a festival!” and a van full of technical equipment. But the chiil in communication soon melted and the festival happened to be really good.
